Moody's: US wireless carriers installment plan loans to grow to $55 billion by 2018
New York, May 25, 2016 -- US wireless carriers are increasingly offering their customers interest-free financing to help them purchase mobile phones. This sales strategy, a consequence of intense industry competition, is increasing their working capital needs as well as raising their financial risks, says Moody's Investors Service in a report, "Wireless Providers Face $55 Billion Funding Need For Installment Sales."
