UnitedHealth Q3 Profit Beats Estimates, Revenues Up 27%; Maintains Guidance

(RTTNews) - UnitedHealth Group (UNH) reported third quarter net income to shareholders of $1.6 billion or $1.65 per share, compared to $1.6 billion or $1.63 per share, prior year.

Revenue increased to $41.5 billion from $32.8 billion last year. Analysts expected revenue of $40.17 billion for the quarter.

Third quarter 2015 cash flows from operations of $2.8 billion exceeded 170 percent of net earnings in the quarter.

The company continues to project 2015 net earnings in a range of $6.25 to $6.35 per share, and cash flows from operations of $8.4 billion to $8.6 billion. Analysts expect the company to report earnings per share of $6.33.
