Salesforce.com Inc Q3 Earnings Advance 22%

(RTTNews) - Salesforce.com Inc (CRM) released a profit for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $170.94 million, or $0.24 per share. This was up from $140.52 million, or $0.21 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.21 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 25.1% to $2.14 billion. This was up from $1.71 billion last year.
