Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Streamed Online on AOL

AOL will stream tonight’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony live and without commercial interruption on Spinner.com (http://spinner.aol.com/rockhall), a newly launched online hub for discerning music lovers. This is the first time the induction ceremony has been made available for live and Web viewing. The live streaming program starts at 8:30 p.m. ET. Starting the next day, visitors can watch a cataloged and segmented version of the ceremony on demand, letting music fans watch individual performances and inductions. Now we can let consumers witness the thrill of this historic event, empowering them with interactive features that allow them to upload video commentary, vote and interact with other fans.” This year’s inductees are Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, R.E.M., The Ronettes, Patti Smith, and Van Halen, with inductions by Jay Z, Keith Richards, Eddie Vedder, Velvet Revolver and Zach de la Rocha. The ceremony will take place at The Waldorf-Astoria in New York.
