Pervasive Announces Support for salesforce.com Summer '05 Release
AUSTIN, Texas, June 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pervasive Software(R) Inc. , a global value leader in data infrastructure software, and salesforce.com , the market and technology leader in on-demand customer relationship management (CRM), today announced support for the Summer '05 release from salesforce.com. The Summer '05 release includes additional Sforce integration features that enable Pervasive Software to integrate the rich CRM capabilities of salesforce.com with over 200 back-end application and data infrastructure resources. Pervasive extends the value of salesforce.com subscriptions by delivering the right information at the right time to drive key business initiatives such as:
* Improving customer-centricity and profitability by leveraging a single view of leads, customers, accounts, contacts, opportunities and more * Pushing information to customer-facing functions to allow sales, service, customer support, channel partners and marketing teams to gain access to customer information for real-time analysis and decision-making * Increasing operational efficiency by eliminating re-keying, cutting and pasting, phone and fax errors and system swapping
"Pervasive's rich connectivity and cost-effective integration platform is well suited to our Web services model, providing an effective solution to connect Salesforce with virtually any other application on the market," said Clarence So, vice president of strategic marketing of salesforce.com. "Pervasive's solution highlights the incredible scope of possibilities enabled by the unprecedented flexibility and power of Sforce."
Today many companies have thousands or even hundreds of thousands of CRM records across multiple systems. As companies migrate to salesforce.com many choose to profile, cleanse and transform records, while others may consolidate CRM systems. Pervasive helps eliminate the number one concern many companies have when purchasing a new CRM system. Pervasive provides the ideal solution for complex one-time or periodic data migration to or from Salesforce.
With over 200 connectors, the Pervasive capabilities allow access to nearly any data format, providing a robust migration engine, drag-and-drop visual mapping studio, transformation and data profiling capabilities. These features allow Pervasive customers to dramatically reduce the time and errors associated with complex data migrations.

SunTrust chose the Pervasive data integration solution to help quickly and efficiently standardize its data and transfer it to Salesforce for easier accessibility by more than 2,000 sales representatives, sales management and support staff. "We could not have accomplished this project without Pervasive," said Jim Wilson, group vice president and delivery system manager at SunTrust Banks, Inc. "Transferring over a million records could have posed a real technology problem for us, but Pervasive and salesforce.com have enabled us to resolve our data issues without worrying about the technology. Pervasive and salesforce.com are terrific companion products," Wilson said.
Annie Tran, manager of Decision Support System Technology at ITDC, Korean Air, says, "Pervasive Business Integrator had the required API connectivity to Salesforce. It was key in enabling us to pull agency sales data from our database, despite varying formats, and upload it into Salesforce for greater accessibility and less risk for human error."
Payment Processing, Inc. implemented Pervasive Business Integrator to accelerate on-demand data exchange with Salesforce and eliminate consulting fees. "Thanks to Pervasive Business Integrator, we have better access to and more control over our data, making us more self-reliant, efficient and productive. Now we immediately satisfy our needs for data reporting internally, instead of relying on the availability of outside consultants," said David McMath, database administrator and software engineer at Payment Processing, Inc.
"The pre-packaged Pervasive connector for salesforce.com's on-demand CRM solution provides businesses with a powerful and flexible integration solution at a low total cost of ownership," said Koen DeWitte, vice president of worldwide marketing for Pervasive Software. "As a Certified Sforce Solutions Partner, Pervasive provides unparalleled, cost-effective software solutions for quick integration of critical business applications and data to and from all applications built on the Sforce platform. This fits well with our ASP enablement initiative to provide cost-effective, fast-track migration and synchronization between existing internal systems and CRM systems, to guarantee accurate customer data is available in real time."
