Intel Receives Award for Corporate Social Responsibility Leadership; First-Ever CSR Management Award Given by Business Ethics Magazine
"Business Ethics salutes Intel for leading the way in ethics andcorporate social responsibility excellence," said Marjorie Kelly,editor of Business Ethics magazine.
Intel is included in more than 50 different socially responsiblemutual funds, a distinction shared with few other companies in theworld. Among many other forms of recognition, the company hasregularly ranked in the top five on Business Ethics' "100 BestCorporate Citizens" list and placed as the Technology Sector Leader inthe Dow Jones Sustainability Index for the past five years. Intel wasalso among the first companies in the United States to report inaccordance with the Global Reporting Initiative, a rigorousinternational framework for corporate social and environmentalreporting.
"This recognition is a testament to the large number of Intelemployees, from environmental systems to human resources tomanufacturing, who integrate corporate social responsibilitymanagement into their daily work," said Dave Stangis, Intel directorof corporate responsibility. "From our Intranet-based emerging issuesglobal monitoring system to required, rigorous ethics training foreach employee to the network of professionals who help drivecontinuous improvement, Intel aims for the highest possible ethicalstandard in all the places where we operate around the world."
