Essent Group Q2 Net Income Rises

(RTTNews) - Essent Group (ESNT) reported second quarter net income of $203.6 million or $1.91 per share, compared to $172.2 million or $1.61 per share, a year ago. On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report profit per share of $1.68, for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues increased to $312.94 million from $260.13 million, last year. Analysts on average had estimated $308.34 million in revenue.

Essent also announced that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.28 per common share. The dividend is payable on September 10, 2024, to shareholders of record on August 30, 2024.
