Brazil's Factory Gate Inflation Weakens In October

(RTTNews) - Brazil's factory gate inflation weakened in October, data released by statistical office IBGE showed Thursday.

The producer price index for the manufacturing sector increased 5.18 percent on an annual basis in October, slower than the 5.81 percent gain recorded in September.

Month-on-month, the producer price index decreased 0.37 percent in October, reversing the previous month's 0.57 percent increase. The decline was the first monthly fall since February 2013.

During the ten months ended October, the producer price index increased 4.47 percent from the corresponding period of last year, the agency said.
