BRAZIL: Economists Raises 2017 GDP Growth Estimate To 0.89%

(RTTNews) - Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank increased their forecasts for economic growth in 2017 to 0.89%, after keeping it at 0.73% for five weeks. For 2018, the median estimate for GDP growth rose for the third week in a row, to 2,60% from 2.58% last week.

Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 decreased to 52.10%, from 52.15% last week, while for 2018 forecasts rose to 55.55%, from 55.40% last week.

Projections for the Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 and 2018 remained stable at 2.00% and 2.90%, respectively.
