Wachovia’s Debbie Hughes Relocates to Savannah, Georgia Office

Wachovia Insurance Services, a Wells Fargo company, is pleased to announce the relocation of Debbie Hughes to its Savannah, Ga. office at 25 Bull Street. She is a vice president and director of Wachovia Insurance Services’ Professional Risk Group, serving as a senior executive risk consultant and broker for Wachovia Insurance Services customers.

Hughes brings more than fourteen years of insurance industry experience, all within the highly specialized niche of executive liability, including, directors’ and officers’ liability, errors and omissions, general partnership liability, employment practices liability, fiduciary liability, transaction liability, and crime insurance coverages.

Before its sale to Wachovia Insurance Services, Hughes was an assistant vice president in the executive liability advisors division for Palmer & Cay. Prior to that position, she spent over eight years as a senior broker with Aon Financial Services Group in Atlanta. Over the course of her career, Hughes has developed and customized and comprehensive executive liability insurance solutions for many of the country’s most recognizable private and public companies.

Hughes earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies from Rhodes College in 1994. While in Atlanta she served as co-leader of the Suzuki School Parent Volunteer Association and was a member of the Sarah Smith PTA. She also is a Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta FRIENDS Lifetime Member and was head of the Holiday Fundraising Program for two years.
