Visa Inc. Reports 26% Gain In Q2 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Visa Inc. (V) reported earnings for its second quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line totaled $2.06 billion, or $0.87 per share. This was up from $1.64 billion, or $0.69 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.81 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 25.6% to $4.56 billion. This was up from $3.63 billion last year.
