UnitedHealthcare Selects Qualcomm Unit To Deliver Connected Health Solutions

(RTTNews) - Qualcomm Inc. (QCOM) announced Tuesday that its unit Qualcomm Life, Inc., and UnitedHealthcare, a business of UnitedHealth Group (UNH), are collaborating to develop and deliver connected health solutions to consumers across the United States.

This collaboration will focus on creating new UnitedHealthcare programs and services that incorporate the latest generation of wearables, medical devices and diagnostic tests that leverage Qualcomm Life's 2net Platform for medical-grade connectivity.

The companies made the announcement at the industry-leading annual HIMSS conference, taking place in Las Vegas, NV, February 29 - March 4.

The first program under the collaboration is UnitedHealthcare Motion, a health and wellness program powered by Qualcomm Life's 2net Connectivity Platform for employers nationwide.
