UnitedHealth Group Names David Wichmann President

(RTTNews) - UnitedHealth Group [UNH] Wednesday announced certain management changes and the formation of an Office of the Chief Executive, comprising CEO Stephen Hemsley, Vice Chairman Larry Renfro and President David Wichmann.

The group said Wichmann will serve as the President and will transition out of his current role as chief financial officer over the next 12 to 18 months.

Renfro will remain CEO of Optum and as the newly-named Vice Chairman.

The company named Dirk McMahon, currently chief operating officer of Optum and CEO of Optum Rx, as executive vice president, enterprise operations of UnitedHealth Group.

In addition, the firm said Gail Boudreaux has decided leave her position of executive vice president, UnitedHealth Group, and CEO, UnitedHealthcare.
