    Business Editors

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 8, 2005--U.S. Bank will show its pride for the Los Angeles Dodgers by lighting the crown of the downtown U.S. Bank Tower "Dodger blue" throughout the first homestand from Tuesday, April 11 to Friday, April 15. Rob McGuire, principal of McGuire Properties, the owner, developer and manager of the 73-story U.S. Bank Tower, played a major role in facilitating this expression of Dodger pride, in partnership with U.S. Bank.
The illumination of U.S. Bank Tower in Dodger blue comes at the same time that U.S. Bank signed-on to continue its affiliation with the Dodgers through the 2007 baseball season.
"Renewing our deal with the Dodgers is grand slam opportunity for U.S. Bank," commented Jerry Grundhofer, chairman and chief executive officer of U.S. Bancorp, parent company of U.S. Bank. "The tradition, the pride and the spirit of the Dodgers is something we embrace at U.S. Bank and we look forward to a long partnership with the team. We are very fortunate to have such a great partner in Rob McGuire to turn the lights of the U.S. Bank Tower to Dodger blue and help us show the entire Los Angeles community how proud we are to be a part of the Dodger team."
"The Los Angeles Dodgers greatly appreciate the enthusiasm and support of U.S. Bank and Rob McGuire," said Frank McCourt, owner and chairman of the Los Angeles Dodgers. "We value our long-term partnership with U.S. Bank. By lighting the tower Dodger blue, they unequivocally demonstrate their willingness to share Dodger spirit with the entire Los Angeles community."
U.S. Bank's partnership with the club began in 2002, as the exclusive provider of Dodgers Checking in which Dodgers fans can show their pride in the storied team with Dodger checks and checkbook covers when they open up a Dodgers Checking account. While supplies last, fans will also receive a Dodgers hat and two tickets to a game when they sign up for Dodgers Checking at U.S. Bank.
Starting with the 2005 season, U.S. Bank will also be the exclusive bank sponsor of the team's Spanish radio broadcasts, and sponsor the one of the team's baseball card giveaways. In 2005, that giveaway will take place on Monday, May 30, as 20,000 kids will receive the exclusive cards, courtesy of U.S. Bank. While only children will receive the cards on that day, all fans can get the cards, compliments of U.S. Bank, at the U.S. Bank booth at Dodger Stadium on the following game-dates: June 11 and 28, July 2 and 14, August 13, and September 7. Along with the giveaway, fans will have a chance to enter and win one of the following Dodger Fun Packages: Dodgers Dugout seats; a spot in "Fantasy" Batting Practice at Dodger Stadium; see the Dodgers take on the San Diego Padres at Petco Park, including tickets and transportation on Amtrak to San Diego; and Dodgers prize packs.
