The Points of Light Foundation Honors Aetna Group Insurance Employees for Volunteer Efforts; Aetna Featured as the Daily Point of Light for Hartford Habitat Project to Help Disabled Individual

Aetna Group Insurance was honored for the efforts of more than 100of Aetna's Group Insurance employees, who in 2004 devoted more than850 hours of labor to build this home.

"This is a tremendous honor for us and an invaluable experience inworking with a family managing a disability, and we were thrilled thatthey could benefit from our efforts," said Caren Kittredge, head ofIntegrated Health and Disability for Aetna Disability and LeaveManagement Services, who oversaw the project. "We feel strongly thatpeople with disabilities can lead rewarding lives and having anopportunity to build this home gave us even more insight into thatbelief. This honor is timely because we've just started to build ourfifth home with Habitat for Humanity, and our second home in Hartford,all dedicated to families with disabilities."
