The Hartford Appoints Greg Brennan to be CFO, International Wealth Management
SIMSBURY, Conn., Sept. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. today announced the appointment of Greg Brennan as senior vice president and chief financial officer, international wealth management.

As CFO, Brennan will be responsible for finance, actuarial and product development for the division, which encompasses The Hartford's businesses in Japan, Brazil and the United Kingdom. The Hartford is the leading provider of variable annuities in Japan based on assets under management as of March 31, 2006, according to Hoken Manichi, a Japanese daily newspaper that tracks variable annuity sales. In 2005, the company launched a new enterprise to market personal retirement savings products in Europe. The Hartford also sells retirement savings, personal savings and life insurance products in Brazil.
Brennan will report to Liz Zlatkus, president of The Hartford's international wealth management and group benefits division, for actuarial and product development, and to Glenn Lammey, executive vice president and chief financial officer for The Hartford's life insurance operations, for finance.
"Greg's actuarial and product development expertise and his broad international background will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow and diversify The Hartford's international business," Zlatkus said.
Lammey concurred, adding, "Greg's expertise in investment product development and his financial and risk management capabilities will be invaluable to the company."
Before joining The Hartford, Brennan served as chief insurance risk officer and chief actuary for ING Asia Pacific. Previously, he had been chief actuary for ING's Australia operation and was CFO of ING Vysya Life in India.
Brennan is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and, in addition, holds an honors degree in psychology from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
