Teradata Corp. Reveals 40% Retreat In Q1 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Teradata Corp. (TDC) revealed earnings for first quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line declined to $37 million, or $0.28 per share. This was lower than $62 million, or $0.47 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.28 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 9.9% to $491 million. This was down from $545 million last year.
