Success Of Mow N' Stow® Technology Leads To Expanded Offering
MILWAUKEE, Feb. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Homeowners seeking more space in the garage now have new options with the expanded family of Toro SmartStow® Recycler mowers powered by Briggs & Stratton Corporation's Mow N' Stow® technology. SmartStow mowers are the only gas mowers that can be stored upright at any time, which saves up to 70% floor space.1 Building on the successful collaboration between Briggs & Stratton and The Toro Company, the two companies focused on bringing the space-saving innovation to more homeowners with the introduction of a push SmartStow featuring the new 625 EXi Series™ engine and a premium SmartStow featuring Toro's PoweReverse™ Personal Pace® self-propel system.
"At Briggs & Stratton, we're driven to make work easier and improve lives," said Michelle Gross, senior director marketing, North America – Engines & Power. "The expanded power rating, combined with Toro's drive options, provides homeowners the benefit of saving space in their garage and the added conveniences of easy to use and easy to maintain."
Briggs & Stratton's research shows that within the walk category, there is a segment of homeowners who prefer a push mower. This inspired integrating the Mow N' Stow technology on a brand new SmartStow Recycler push mower. It's powered by Briggs & Stratton's new 625 EXi Series™ with Mow N' Stow and Just Check & Add™ technology to store upright and never need an oil change.2
For homeowners in the market for a premium mower with space-saving capabilities, they'll find the ultimate mower in Toro's new PoweReverse SmartStow. Similar to other SmartStow self-propel mowers, the PoweReverse is powered by Briggs & Stratton's 725 EXi Series™ engine with Mow N' Stow and Just Check & Add technology. Toro added two new, unique features to distinguish it from the rest: PoweReverse and the Iso-Flex™ handle. The PoweReverse self-propel system makes this mower incredibly easy to maneuver as it seamlessly moves forward and backward. Plus the Iso-Flex handle glides and absorbs shocks for added comfort and control.
"The expansion of our SmartStow offering is a natural outcome of the close collaboration between The Toro Company and Briggs & Stratton," explained Wade Tollison, Jr., senior marketing manager at The Toro Company. "With the continued sales growth and positive customer reviews of the existing SmartStow mowers and the successful launch of PoweReverse, we sought to create the ultimate lawn mower by combining these technologies to bring consumers space-saving solutions along with the premier performance features and comfort of the PoweReverse."
In addition to these two new options within the SmartStow family, homeowners can still easily find the original SmartStow mowers with high wheel variable speed self-propel or with Personal Pace. Powered by Briggs & Stratton's 725EXi Series with Mow N' Stow and Just Check & Add technology, both models offer homeowners easy use, storage and maintenance. With prices ranging from the SmartStow push at $299, front-wheel drive at $349, Personal Pace at $399 and PoweReverse at $449, look for the entire SmartStow line exclusively at The Home Depot® and authorized Toro dealers.
1 Space savings are in relation to the space consumed by a Toro 22 in. walk power mower that is stored with the handle in the standard operating position.
