Stifel Financial Profit Up About 21%

(RTTNews) - Investment brokerage Stifel Financial Corp. (SF) Monday reported fourth-quarter net income of $48 million or $0.64 per share compared with $40 million or $0.63 per share last year. Earnings per share results for the recent quarter reflect a higher share count.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $59.8 million or $0.79 per share compared with $43 million or $0.69 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were up 37% at $562.5 million compared with $411 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.68 per share on revenues of $541.25 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
