Starbucks Corp. Reports 11% Advance In Q2 Earnings

(RTTNews) - Starbucks Corp. (SBUX) reported earnings for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $878.1 million, or $0.39 per share. This was higher than $789.4 million, or $0.33 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.39 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 9.4% to $4.99 billion. This was up from $4.56 billion last year.
