Sigma Designs Reports Narrower Than Estimated Q2 Loss

(RTTNews) - Sigma Designs, Inc. (SIGM) reported a net loss for the second quarter of $7.6 million or $0.22 per share, compared to a net loss of $4.8 million or $0.14 per share for the same quarter last year.

Excluding items, adjusted net loss for the second quarter was $2.0 million or $0.06 per share, compared to adjusted net income of $2.0 million or $0.06 per share in the same quarter last year.

Net revenues for the second quarter fell 20.4% to $42.8 million from $53.8 million a year earlier.

Analysts polled By Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.08 per share on revenue of $41.99 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
