Sherwood Ford issues information regarding Ford F-150 safety recall from model years 2015 to 2018
SHERWOOD PARK, Alberta, Sept. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Ford F-150 SuperCrew Cab and Regular Cab trucks from the 2015 to 2018 model years have had a safety recall issued, due to potential fire hazards from deployment of front seat belt pretensioners in the event of a crash. Sherwood Park dealership Sherwood Ford is in possession of the replacement part needed to remedy this issue and is encouraging all truck owners to contact the dealership immediately if they suspect that this issue extends to their F-150 models.
Those wanting to see if their F-150 models are affected should visit a page on the Sherwood Ford website, where they will be prompted to input the last eight digits of their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). Drivers may find their VIN numbers affixed on their vehicles' dashboards above the instrument panel, or in their vehicle documentation, such as registration and insurance policies.
If owners' F-150 models are detected with this defect, Sherwood Ford will then apply special Foil Tape as part of a Repair Order. This recall is projected to affect upwards of 340,000 vehicles across Canada, so drivers are advised to take action as soon as they can.
Members of the public who have any questions about this matter should contact Sherwood Ford directly by phone at 587-860-1538 or online at sherwoodford.ca. The dealership is located at 2540 Broadmoor Boulevard in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
