Republic Bank Merges With Republic Bank & Trust Co

(RTTNews) - Republic Bancorp Inc (RBCAA) said Monday that its federally chartered savings association subsidiary, Republic Bank, merged with the company's Kentucky state chartered commercial bank subsidiary, Republic Bank & Trust Co. The merger is expected to provide greater efficiency in the Bank's operations, the company said.

The resulting merged Bank now boasts $3.5 billion in assets with 42 banking centers located in five states (Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Florida and Ohio).

The Bank will continue to be supervised by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions.
