(RTTNews) - Gainers:
JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) is up 1 percent to $62.65. The company's first quarter earnings improved from the year-ago quarter driven by higher revenue. The company also intends to increase its quarterly common stock dividend in the second quarter of 2015.
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) is up quarter of a percent to $100.80. The company's adjusted earnings and revenues topped estimates despite declining year-over-year. The company also lowered its full-year adjusted earnings guidance range.
Fastenal Co. (FAST) is rising 5 percent to $42.00. The company's first quarter earnings was higher than in the year-ago quarter and also topped Wall Street view. Net sales improved 8.8 percent, but missed the consensus estimate.
Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) is rising nearly 1 percent to $385.10 amidst reports that the company has reached a multi-year publishing deal with HarperCollins.
Dover Saddlery, Inc. (DOVR) is jumping 78 percent to $8.45. The company has agreed to be taken private by a company formed by Webster Capital for $8.50 per share in cash.
Decliners:
Nokia Corp. (NOK) is down 4 percent to $7.96 following its confirmation that it is in advanced discussions with Alcatel-Lucent (ALU) regarding a potential full combination. The transaction would take the form of a public exchange offer by Nokia for Alcatel-Lucent. At the same time, ALU is gaining over 6 percent to $4.64.
Norfolk Southern Corp. (NSC) is falling 5 percent to $99.50 as it forecast first quarter earnings and revenues to decline from the year-ago period.
