Praxair Inc Reports 8% Increase In Q1 Profit

(RTTNews) - Praxair Inc (PX) revealed earnings for its first quarter that climbed from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $395 million, or $1.37 per share. This was higher than $366 million, or $1.28 per share, in last year's first quarter.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 8.8% to $2.73 billion. This was up from $2.51 billion last year.
