    MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 24, 2005--PepsiAmericas, Inc. (NYSE:PAS) today announced that Cynthia Swanson was elected to the Company's Board of Directors, effective February 23, 2005.
    In making the announcement, PepsiAmericas' Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert C. Pohlad said, "Cynthia's business and financial expertise and knowledge of the Pepsi business will be of great value to PepsiAmericas. We look forward to working with her and to her contributions to the PepsiAmericas' Board."
    Ms. Swanson has spent over 14 years with PepsiCo Inc. in various finance positions including serving as Chief Financial Officer for Pepsi-Cola International's Central European operations. Currently, Ms. Swanson is Vice President of Global Mergers and Acquisitions Group at PepsiCo.
    Ms. Swanson graduated from Mount Holyoke with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics in 1983 and holds a Masters in Business Administration from The Wharton School.
    Ms. Swanson currently resides in New Canann, Connecticut with her husband and two children.
