New EMC Solutions, Services and Software Support Help Customers Implement Microsoft SQL Server 2005

SAN FRANCISCO (Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Launch), Nov. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage, today announced a suite of new solutions, professional services and software support designed to help customers migrate to and optimize their storage and information infrastructure for the new Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database platform. With EMC's offerings, customers can make optimal use of the new scalability, availability and security capabilities in SQL Server 2005 and efficiently and cost-effectively manage and protect information from key business and analytical applications from the time the information is created until it is archived or deleted.

EMC is showcasing its industry-leading portfolio of information lifecycle management (ILM) offerings for SQL Server 2005 to thousands of Microsoft Corp. customers and industry partners as a Gold sponsor of today's launch event for SQL Server 2005. EMC will also join Microsoft in Philadelphia, Seattle, Anaheim, Minneapolis, Boston, Washington D.C. and select cities in Europe and Asia on its SQL Server 2005 launch tour, delivering presentations and demonstrations designed to help customers optimize their storage and information infrastructures.
