MTS Systems Q1 Results Top Estimates; Reaffirms FY Guidance

(RTTNews) - MTS Systems Corp (MTSC), a supplier of test systems and position sensors, on Monday reported first-quarter net earnings of $13.8 million or $0.90 per share compared with $9.1 million or $0.59 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $142.6 million compared with $138.4 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.74 per share on revenues of $146.2 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year 2015, the company continues to expect earnings of $3.60 to $4.00 per share on revenues of $615 million to $645 million. Analysts expect earnings of $3.77 per share on revenues of $612.3 million.
