MIKOH Expands Australian Presence and Market Potential With Global Integrity Acquisition

MIKOH Corporation (ASX:MIK) today announced a definitive agreement to acquire the assets and goodwill of Global Integrity Pty Ltd, a leading RFID technology and consulting firm based in Melbourne, Australia.

Through the deal, MIKOH will expand management experience within its Australian operations as well as add a pipeline of business opportunities in the aviation and electronic vehicle identification (EVI) markets in Australia, New Zealand and India. Hans Van Pelt, managing director of Global Integrity, will transition to MIKOH as the vice president and general manager of Australian operations to head sales for this region. Van Pelt joins MIKOH with an impressive background in the aviation sector a growing global market and target for MIKOH.

"As RFID adoption takes off, MIKOH continues to gain momentum in the Australian and Southeast Asian markets following our partnerships with Dexion and Global Integrity, said Matthew Blomfield, CEO for MIKOH. "Hans Van Pelt is an established veteran in the aviation market and brings tremendous management expertise to our established team. The integration of Global Integritys capabilities opens significant industry doors and will accelerate MIKOHs expansion into Australia and Southeast Asia.

The acquisition follows an existing sales and reseller partnership between Global Integrity and MIKOH. Through the existing partnership, Global Integrity has developed RFID business opportunities in the aviation and EVI markets in Australia, New Zealand and India.

"This acquisition will combine both companies strengths and opportunities, driving a strategic synergy that will undoubtedly contribute to sales and market growth for MIKOH, said Van Pelt. "MIKOH is becoming a key catalyst for RFID adoption in a variety of markets by providing tamper-indicating technology to eliminate major risks introduced by RFID. The addition of Global Integritys expertise in the aviation market immediately expands MIKOHs presence in this arena by providing a variety of applications that reduce costs to airlines and improve the experience for travelers.
