Mark Zuckerberg Decides To Take 2 Month Paternity Leave
(RTTNews) - Facebook, Inc. (FB) founder and chief executive officer Mark Zuckerberg has decided to take 2 months of paternity leave when his daughter arrives. Zuckerberg has disclosed his plan in his Facebook post.
Facebook offers US employees up to 4 months of paid maternity or paternity leave which they can take throughout the year.
Zuckerberg has cited that studies show that when working parents take time to be with their newborns, outcomes are better for the children and families.
He said in the Facebook post that, "This is a very personal decision,". "Every day things are getting a little more real for us, and we're excited to start this next stage in our lives,". "Priscilla and I are starting to get ready for our daughter's arrival. We've been picking out our favorite childhood books and toys."
Zuckerberg has also posted a photo of the family dog Beast along with a new baby seat, and commented, "I think he knows something's up."
