Lincoln National Q1 Profit Misses Estimate

(RTTNews) - Lincoln National Corp. (LNC) reported net income for the first quarter of $300 million or $1.15 per share, compared to $329 million or $1.21 per share for the year-ago quarter.

First quarter income from operations was $352 million or $1.35 per share, compared to $365 million or $1.34 per share in the prior year quarter.

Operating revenues for the first quarter rose 5% to $3.39 billion from $3.23 billion a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.49 per share on revenue of $3.39 billion for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
