KLA-Tencor Corp. Earnings Advance 43% In Q3

(RTTNews) - KLA-Tencor Corp. (KLAC) announced a profit for its third quarter that increased from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $256 million, or $1.62 per share. This was higher than $179 million, or $1.15 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.55 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 28.4% to $914 million. This was up from $712 million last year.
