KLA-Tencor Corp. Bottom Line Advances 74% In Q4

(RTTNews) - KLA-Tencor Corp. (KLAC) announced earnings for its fourth quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $276.84 million, or $1.77 per share. This was higher than $158.86 million, or $0.99 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.42 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 21.5% to $919.17 million. This was up from $756.33 million last year.
