Kaman Aerospace Unit To Manufacture And Assemble Boeing 747-8 Components

(RTTNews) - The Aerospace segment of Kaman Corp. (KAMN) has entered into a memorandum of agreement with Boeing Canada Winnipeg for the manufacture and assembly of two major sections of the 747-8 Wing-to-Body Fairing.

Under the terms of agreement, Kaman will manufacture most components at its facilities in Connecticut, Florida, Kansas and Vermont, with final assembly to be completed at the company's Jacksonville, Florida facility.

The 747-8 Wing-to-Body Fairing is currently being manufactured by Boeing at its Winnipeg facility. The components will be delivered directly to Boeing's wide-body assembly line in Everett, Washington by the first half of 2014.
