Jose Marques Joins Deutsche Bank as Head of Equity Electronic Trading
Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. today announced that Jose Marques has joined as a Managing Director and Head of Equity Electronic Trading within the firm’s Global Markets division. Marques is based in New York and reports to Robert Karofsky, Co-Head of Global Markets Equity, and Kerim Derhalli, Global Head of Equity Trading. In his role, Marques will oversee product development, distribution and marketing, technology, and the continued expansion of the equity electronic trading platform.
Marques joined Deutsche Bank from Credit Suisse, where he was a Managing Director in the alternative execution products group. He has 15 years of industry experience, and has held senior electronic trading roles at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs.
"We are delighted to welcome Jose and confident that he will spearhead our significant investment in electronic trading, building on our recent successes, as we strive to achieve a market-leading position in this rapidly evolving industry,” said Karofsky.
Marques has a Ph.D. in Physics at the University of California.
