John B. Thomas Joins Horizon Pharma

(RTTNews) - John B. Thomas has been appointed executive vice president, strategy and investor relations of Horizon Pharma plc (HZNP), effective immediately.

Previously, Thomas was vice president of investor relations and public affairs for Abbott Laboratories (ABT), where he counseled the senior executive team on the financial community's expectations regarding major acquisitions, divestitures, strategic partnerships, research and development and ongoing business performance.

Prior to joining Abbott, Thomas was manager of corporate communications for Mallinckrodt Veterinary and Budget Rent-A-Car.

At Horizon Pharma, he will be reporting directly to the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer Timothy P. Walbert.
