Jamie Dimon For Trump's Treasury Secretary?

(RTTNews) - President-elect Donald Trump's team is reportedly considering to offer JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon the post of the US Treasury Secretary.

However, reports suggest that the JPMorgan chief has refused the offer and said he is not interested in the role. Dimon has several times in the past said that he would not be interested in the post, most recently in September.

On Wednesday, Dimon sent a memo to JPMorgan staff calling them to come together for the nation after the "most contentious elections" in the country.

"We have just been through one of the most contentious elections in memory, which can make it even harder to put our differences aside. But that makes it more important than ever to bind the wounds of our nation and to bring together Americans from all walks of life. Recognizing that our diversity is a core strength of our nation, we must all come together as fellow patriots to solve our most serious challenges," it said.
