Intrado and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children to Ring the Nasdaq Stock Market Opening Bell Event Highlights Use of Technology to Recover Missing Children; Digital Pictures of New York's Missing Children to be Posted on NASDAQ Tower in Times Square
Intrado Inc. (Nasdaq:TRDO), a global provider of integrated data and telecommunications solutions, together with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children(R) (NCMEC) will preside over the ceremonial NASDAQ Stock Market Opening Bell. The event will take place on Wednesday, January 12, at 9:30 a.m. EST (7:30 a.m. MST) at the NASDAQ Market Site in New York City. Intrado CEO George Heinrichs and NCMEC Chairman of the Board, the Honorable Dennis DeConcini, will ring the market open bell.
In conjunction with the event, digital pictures of some of New York's missing children will be posted on the NASDAQ tower, which stands seven stories tall and overlooks Times Square, from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. EST.
"We were honored that Intrado invited us to participate with them in the market open," said Ernie Allen, NCMEC president and CEO. "Our relationship with Intrado is and continues to be an integral part of our strategy to utilize technology to recover more missing children."
Intrado has partnered with NCMEC since 2002 to help law enforcement agencies nationwide use Intrado's emergency telephone notification system, IntelliCast(R) Target Notification, to help find missing children. Intrado and NCMEC are actively working together to develop new technologies that will continue to improve NCMEC's recovery rates.
