IHOP Name Change A Cheap Publicity Stunt?

(RTTNews) - Pancake house chain IHOP, or The International House of Pancakes, has revealed its plans to change its name to IHOb.

"For 60 pancakin' years, we've been IHOP. Now, we're flippin' our name to IHOb. Find out what it could b on 6.11.18. #IHOb," IHOP tweeted from its official account.

Although the pancake giant did not say what the "b" means, it said it will announce what the "b" stands for on June 11.

"We're serious about the quality of food and our menu, and this name change really reflects that," IHOP's Executive Director of Communications Stephanie Peterson said, USA Today reports.

The company has also held polls that allow people to guess what the "b" stands for and choices include biscuits, bacon, butternut squash and barnacles, with bacon currently leading.
