Happiest Companies In America Ranked

(RTTNews) - Facebook, Inc. (FB) and two other companies have the highest job satisfaction score of 93 percent, according to the third annual list of the 50 best companies to work for in America.

The list is based on exclusive data from employer-information website PayScale.

Facebook shares the top spot with Eversource Energy (ES) and Domtar Corp (UFS) as the happiest companies in America. The other companies with job satisfaction score of 90 percent and above are EOG Resources and Anadarko Petroleum with 91 percent as well as The J.M. Smucker Co. with 90 percent.

The list was prepared after PayScole conducted a survey on employees who work in the U.S. companies that appeared on the 2014 Fortune 500 list.

The survey was based on six criteria: high job satisfaction, low job stress, ability to telecommute, high job meaning, experienced median pay/total cash compensation, and salary delta. PayScale calculated the scores for each company using these criteria.

The survey identified the 26 happiest companies in America, all of whom had a job satisfaction score of 83 percent and above. Energy sector companies racked up the most spots, with nine of then finding their name on the list.

A better job satisfaction level is equally good for the company and the employee as happy workers will be more productive workers, who will help boost a company's bottom line. However, a disgruntled lot will be unproductive and will cost the company.
