GM Pulling Back 117,651 Vehicles For Chasis Control Problem
(RTTNews) - General Motors Co (GM) is recalling 117,651 vehicles in North America due to a manufacturing flaw in the chasis control system. The recall involves trucks, sedans and crossovers from the 2013-14 model years.
The problem has not led to any disclosure of crashes, but defects in the chasis control system can potentiall lead to such events.
About 4,500 of these unsold vehicles are being held at U.S. dealerships and would be repaired.
Vehicles in the recall include Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Express, Chevrolet Traverse, Chevrolet Silverado heavy duty, Cadillac CTS and Escalade, GMC Acadia, Buick Enclave, GMC SavanCha and GMC Sierra heavy duty.
This year, GM has announced multiple recalls covering about 29 million vehicles globally due to various defects.
