Global Payments Celebrates Milestone Anniversary by Ringing the Opening Bell(SM) at the New York Stock Exchange
ATLANTA, March 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Payments Inc. , a leader in payment processing services, announced today that delegates representing a cross-section of the company will ring the Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, March 23, 2006, to commemorate Global's fifth anniversary. On February 1, 200l, Global Payments' executives also rang the Opening Bell, signaling the formation of the company and first day of trading under the ticker symbol GPN.

Chairman, President and CEO, Paul R. Garcia, will lead the ceremony along with a delegation of Global Payments' employees, who were chosen by lottery to represent the company's divisions and major locations. Global employees include Mark Kabaci and Fio Griffith, representing Global Payments' headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia; Rafael Cruet, representing Global's Check Services Division in Chicago, Illinois; Robert Jarrett, Gregory Barnes, Nasser Bakshi and Bo Blanton, representing major operations centers in Baltimore, Maryland and St. Louis, Missouri; and Marlene VanZyl and Wilson Hon representing Global Payments Canada. Gabriel Monreal and Arturo Sanchez will represent DolEx Dollar Express, Global Payments' money transfer division.
