Gerhard Fercho Named President of CSC's EMEA Central Region
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Computer Sciences Corporation today announced that Gerhard Fercho has been named president of CSC's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Central Region, effective Nov. 1, 2006. In his new role, Fercho, 53, will be responsible for CSC's activities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe, and will act as chairman of the board of directors of Germany's CSC Deutschland Solutions GmbH. He will report to Guy Hains, president of CSC's European Group.
Prior to joining CSC, Fercho served as a chief executive officer of Atos-Origin for Germany and Central Europe. Previously, he spent several years in management positions in the technology industry.
"Gerhard's extensive experience and broad IT industry knowledge make him an ideal candidate for this position," said Hains. "I am confident Gerhard's appointment will continue to strengthen our central region's ability to deliver operational and financial results to both CSC and our clients."
