Frontier Communications Slips To Loss In Q2

(RTTNews) - Frontier Communications Corp. (FTR) reported net loss attributable to common shareholders for the second quarter of $38.5 million or $0.04 per share, compared to net income of $18.0 million or $0.02 per share in the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net loss for the latest second quarter was $61.3 million or $0.06 per share, compared to net income of $75.0 million or $0.08 per share in the prior year quarter.

Revenue for the first quarter fell to $1.19 billion from $1.26 billion in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.06 per share on revenue of $1.19 billion for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
