For CEVA Logistics & Integration Point 10+2 Adds Up to One Web-Based Tool for Import Compliance
Integration Point®, a provider of real time global trade management solutions, and CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, have formed a partnership to provide CEVA Logistic customers with a comprehensive, on-demand workflow solution for Importer Security Filings (ISF), more commonly known as 10+2.
Using the Integration Point Advanced Trade Data Solution, CEVA Logistics provides its customers with the ability to not only capture all the data elements required for an ISF, but also to manage the workflow around validating and submitting that information to CBP. Whether self-filing through the CEVA web portal or using CEVA brokerage services, importers can be assured that their data has been validated against an up-to-date global classification database powered by the Integration Point Global Trade Management technology.
"We chose to partner with Integration Point because of the strength of their 10+2 solution,” said Jeff McCauley, Vice President Import Services at CEVA Logistics. "Integration Point provides the ability to integrate commercially available data into validated ISF filings. This ensures that all data received by CEVA Logistics and used for a filing has been validated against a comprehensive, up-to-date global classification system.”
With the Integration Point Solution, companies are able to do a "closed-loop” process for all their imports. For example, companies can start at the beginning of the import process by correctly classifying products using the Global Classification Solution, collect the required data from various sources and manage the workflow with the 10+2 Solution, and then integrate the ISF data to ensure accurate entry filing. According to McCauley, "CEVA’s true 'closed-loop' process we provide to our customers is an advantage for them. The Integration Point Solution provides modules that address the importing process from classification to post-entry validation.”
The Integration Point 10+2 Solution includes:
- Capture of all data elements importer is responsible for on an ISF
- Connectivity to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for filing of the ISF
- Built-in workflow that follows the events of a shipment and provides notifications based on those triggers
- Integration of existing electronic data where available to reduce manual keying
- Data population with pre-approved data to ensure accuracy and consistency across all filings
- Easy identification of filings that need immediate attention
- Multi-lingual capabilities at the user level
"After much preparation and anticipation, it has been good to see the industry adopt our security filing solution as well as it has,” said Tom Barnes, CEO of Integration Point, Inc. "We look forward to furthering our long-term relationship with CEVA as they leverage security filing along with other Integration Point Solutions to facilitate the delivery of comprehensive services to their customers.”
