Fairchild Semiconductor Reveals 12% Advance In Q2 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Fairchild Semiconductor (FCS) reported earnings for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line advanced to $15.6 million, or $0.13 per share. This was higher than $13.9 million, or $0.12 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.17 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 1.5% to $350.0 million. This was down from $355.2 million last year.
