Fairchild Semiconductor Q1 Income Drops 13%
(RTTNews) - Fairchild Semiconductor (FCS) released a profit for first quarter that retreated compared to the same period last year.
The company said its earnings dropped to $11.6 million, or $0.10 per share. This was lower than $13.3 million, or $0.11 per share, in last year's first quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.14 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 8.1% to $327.0 million. This was down from $355.7 million last year.
