Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's Husband David Goldberg Dies Suddenly

(RTTNews) - David Goldberg, husband of Facebook Inc.'s (FB) chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg, has died suddenly on Friday night. Goldberg, chief executive officer of SurveyMonkey.com, was 47-years-old.

"It's with incredible shock and sadness that I'm letting our friends and family know that my amazing brother, Dave Goldberg, beloved husband of Sheryl Sandberg, father of two wonderful children, and son of Paula Goldberg, passed away suddenly last night," Robert Goldberg, his brother, wrote in a facebook post.

Sandberg has frequently cited Goldberg as her main support in life, in taking major decisions as wells as doing small household chores. No other details of the death are known.

Goldberg was born on October 2, 1967, in Minneapolis. He graduated from Harvard University in 1989. He began Launch Media, which he sold to Yahoo Inc. and joined SurveyMonkey in 2009.
