EOS imaging : Benefits of Low Dose 3D Imaging with EOS System Highlighted at the 2013 Scoliosis Research Society Conference

EOS Imaging (Paris:EOSI) (NYSE Euronext, FR0011191766 – EOSI), the pioneer in 2D/3D orthopedic medical imaging, today announced a strong visibility at the 48^th annual conference of the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS) in Lyon, France that included the presentation of clinical data and a Company-hosted educational symposium for more than 60 spine surgeons from 15 countries.

The benefits of the EOS system in the treatment of adolescent scoliosis were highlighted in multiple scientific sessions related to imaging and associated irradiation, as well as to advances in spinal deformity treatment.

Alongside to the SRS meeting, EOS imaging hosted an educational symposium at the SRS conference titled "Pushing the boundaries of spine treatment with low dose images.” The session featured presentations from five experts in advanced spinal treatments from the United States, Canada and France and was attended by more than 60 spine surgeons from around the world. Dr Suken Shah, from Nemours/AI duPont Hospital, chair of this symposium, said: "EOS brings to spinal pathologies the solution we surgeons have wanted: a low dose, full spine or full body exam that gives us a 3D understanding and, even more, very accurate measurements of the spinal deformity. The success of this symposium demonstrates that EOS is becoming a ‘must have’ in scoliosis treatment.”

The Company enjoyed success outside of the SRS conference in Lyon this week with the installation of the city’s third EOS system. The system was installed at the Centre Médico-Chirurgical de Réadaptation (CCMR) des Massues, La Croix Rouge (French Red Cross) hospital. CCMR specializes in orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal rehabilitation for children, adolescents, adults and amputees.
