Entegris Does Not Intend To Revise Terms Of Entegris-Versum Merger Of Equals

(RTTNews) - Entegris, Inc. (ENTG), a leader in specialty chemicals and advanced materials solutions for the microelectronics industry, said Monday in a statement that Entegris has considered its options and does not currently intend to propose to revise the terms of the Entegris-Versum merger of equals.

The statement was made regarding Versum Materials, Inc.'s (VSM) determination that Merck KGaA's revised proposal constitutes a Superior Proposal under the terms of the previously announced merger agreement with Entegris.

Versum had in early March reiterated its decision to reject Merck KGaA's $48 per share proposal, and reaffirmed the company's commitment to completing the proposed merger of equals transaction with Entegris. In late January, Entegris and Versum agreed to combine in a merger of equals.
